Corporate Culture - The Business Case

So what is the business case for corporate culture?   Does it matter if we don’t understand corporate culture or manage it?   These questions are best answered from a benefits and risk perspective.

Most organizations focus on their tangible, or hard, aspects to improve business performance; such as process, resources, assets, quality and structure. Indeed the most common change initiatives are quality based, resource based or some form of restructuring.  However, recent research has identified that as many as two thirds of these fail, stall or fall short.

It is not all about risk.  In taking a more proactive approach with your corporate culture there are benefits to be had.  There is now a significant body of research to support corporate culture as probably the most important factor in corporate success.  It is the key ingredient where even financial analysts are acknowledging corporate culture as a critical factor to the sustainable success of a company.
